Toyotomi Hidetsugu (1568-1595)

Toyotomi Hidetsugu (豊臣秀次, 1568–1595), also known as Toyotomi Hidetsugi, was the nephew and adopted heir of Toyotomi Hideyoshi (豊臣秀吉, 1537–1598). He played a prominent role in Hideyoshi's military campaigns during the latter's consolidation of power between 1583 and 1591, a period culminating in the effective unification of Japan under Hideyoshi's rule.
